Plugged a reed into a circa 1950 Hardie blackwood and it really sounded great.....great tone and very good volume and well balanced...nicely done! Joe M

Darren, comments from Jim Sloan Pipe Sergeant, Jacksonville Pipes & Drums on the William's chanter...VERY nice chanter and reed! Sweet sound, well balanced. Didn't have the F and D problems we have been having with our band chanters.

I just received the reeds today and I want to thank you for including a practice chanter reed. That was very generous, and comes just at the right time as mine is starting to die. As for the pipe reed, I put one in and it plays beautifully so far. It has a nice tone, and what is especially pleasing is that the high g is not very sharp as is the case with the other reeds we've been using. I look forward to trying all six, and we'll let you know. Keep up the good work, and thanks again for the practice reed.
